My criteria for determining what constitutes a good album are simple. It basically comes down to the question - did listening to the entire album in one sitting make for a pleasurable listening experience? Can I play the album for consecutive days and not tire of it? This means that I have to like at least half the songs in the album, usually 5 out of 10. My scale runs like this HATE-DISLIKE-NEUTRAL-LIKE-REALLY LIKE-LOVE. LIKE stipulates that I have the impulse to listen to the song a few more times immediately after the initial time and that I won't tire of it easily. It's sad when you play an album only for the purpose of listening to two or three songs and you press the SKIP button for the rest of the tracks. What a pity ...
I am sorry to say that when listening to Aska's and Jam's albums, these were the thoughts running through my head - too common, trite, run-of-the-mill, too safe, lack of character, what a waste of talent, that's all there is??? .... etc. On my scale, a few LIKES, mostly NEUTRALS, and even some DISLIKES.
Yoga's album fared better ... the production team certainly deserves credit? However, I must admit that there is something about Yoga that vexes me. Yes, it is his enunciation. I find his enunciation to be too deliberate at times, especially with sounds like S and SH. For some reason, hearing him sing with his characteristic deliberate enunciation interferes with my listening experience. Hah ... perhaps I am too peculiar ...
Suppose we were to set aside all biases, existing impressions, preconceptions ... and pretend that these individuals were never Super Star Avenue contestants. Afalean Lu, Aska Yang, Yoga Lin, Jam Hsiao, Yuming Lai, Jane Huang ... Let's suppose that all of them are merely newbie singers who have just released debut albums which happen to be placed together on the fresh releases shelf in the record store ... Imagine what responses someone hearing these individuals' voices for the first time would have after listening to the above albums? How would the general public audience regard these newbie singers in comparison to those veteran artistes who already have strongholds in the market? Some food for thought, eh?
The standard Japanese music industry practice of releasing 2-3 singles annually and albums every 1.5 - 2 years functions quite efficiently.
Some wistful thinking ... Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a Taiwanese equivalent of tv asahi's Music Station? 6-8 artistes/groups giving live performances on decent sets/stages and having amusing conversations with the hosts on a weekly basis. One can't help but be impressed by the longevity and success of Music Station - it's been on for over two decades! It's lamentable that there are fewer and fewer quality music programs where artistes get the opportunity to truly display their singing prowess and have insightful discussions about music ... especially since PTS has now discontinued new episodes of Sunday Night Fever.
Sir Staple, are there any Japanese artistes that you are particularly fond of? In my humble opinion, Nakajima Miyuki is a perennial figure in the contemporary music scene. She is one brilliant lady!

已經發表的四首都看過現場影音啦~ 另外兩首30秒試聽的也聽過了。想寫可是寫不出來啊~ 最近實在是枯乾掉了。等.....等太陽小一點吧......(藉口)。好啦!主題我已經想好了,大概是:「離開了星光道這位伯樂,兩匹千里馬的將來,是馳騁在寬闊的草原上,還是躑躅於幽暗的荒野?」但是就這樣了,其他的還想不出來..............

說實話
我覺得他們這張專輯比楊林蕭讓人著迷
可是明明比賽中楊林蕭的歌聲
對大部份人來說是比較憾動人心的
這點我覺得滿有趣的,是因為1+1>2嗎?
我在聽"神木與瞳"的那幾首新歌
第一次聽就會有種難以言喻的感動與震撼
楊林蕭的專輯我第一次聽完全沒這種感覺
雖然有幾首之後多聽幾次也覺得還不錯
但更多的感覺是還是唱別人的歌曲比較好聽
不像"神木與瞳"的歌曲吸引力大
他們的歌會讓人有驚豔的感覺
我其實本來並不特別欣賞他們倆的歌聲
但他們的新歌真的讓我很有感覺所以我會買
雖然我還是比較愛敬騰的聲音
但敬騰這張我真的有點失望
你寫的有關敬騰這張專輯的評論我也很認同

比賽中比較感動我的聲音反而是美珍和Yuming哩~ 楊林蕭是「唱的漂亮」,不過要比感情的話,Yuming不輸他們,美珍更是超過一點。只是 Yuming 的聲音對大多數人來說是比楊林蕭要「平淡」一點。美珍唱的精彩的那幾首歌又比較偏門。
我想這還是每個人感受不同啦~ 感情這東西,虛無飄渺,很難量化,大家就聽自己喜歡的囉!
其實我們聽歌都會有「美術館情節」,就是有名的、大家都聽、自己很期待的專輯,聽起來會比較認真,也比較容易受感動。好像進到美術館,那種氣氛會讓人「肅然起敬」一樣。
所以我真的也不想一聽到就發表評論哩~ 很多東西需要時間的沈澱,才能看出真正的價值呀!
(又是一個偷懶不寫評論的好藉口,哈哈!)

是聽我妹download的
楊蕭的唱功真的沒話說
但專輯選的歌有點牽強
開始聽真的沒有何深刻印象
直覺是浪費了兩個好聲音
林的唱腔我本就不太欣賞
然後金曲獎他把"天天想妳"唱得走鐘成那樣
我就沒辦法信認他的實力了
不過他的專輯若不論唱腔
說真的選歌比楊蕭好聽許多

我剛剛找資料的時候發現,王菲第一張專輯也不過賣了三萬張,出道三四年以後,才靠著「執迷不悔」這張專輯成為天后。所以我真的覺得沒啥好急的啦!第一張專輯還是站穩腳步比較重要,賣不賣還是其次哩!
楊林蕭.....說實話因為我比較老,比較奸詐,所以早就決定要等「演唱會DVD+雙CD」這種好康的出來再買......:P
我也是覺得林的專輯選歌比較優,比較有用心製作。而且他才21歲,還非常年輕,以後的前途,我覺得是「不可限量」啊!!反而是楊有點老,蕭的唱腔太特別,這兩位我比較擔心一點。如果市場可以接受蕭做為一個「唯一的特色」的話,是有可能建立起新天王的地位的!

謝謝staple大的回應,我現在也很欣賞Yuming的歌聲,找了很多他之前的影音來看,跟敬騰完全不一樣的另一種感動,聽敬騰的歌會比較想哭覺得很悲傷,聽Yuming的歌感覺很溫暖很真誠,會覺得好有安全感...哈哈~或許是我最近失戀的關係吧!他的歌聲的確有安慰到我,總之~好音樂好歌聲不嫌多,謝謝這些天使们帶來的感動.

沒聽過星一,一開始看星二就"只"喜歡YUMING的聲音,給我很溫暖的感覺,就是那種聽了沒有負擔的聲音,一直想他可以出自己的專輯,但是看事實好像這才是應該的做法。
不知道STAPLE大會不會在CD出了之後再來一次"30秒聽後感想"

Yuming 的聲音真的是走舒服路線的,不過比賽中舒服路線的沒市場,所以 Yuming 在星二也唱了不少不是舒服路線的歌。我滿期待這張專輯裡面有這種路線的溫柔情歌。不過美珍的聲音比較不適合這種路線,所以如果有應該是 Yuming 獨唱的吧?可是到目前曝光的七首好像還沒有出現哩!

Pleasurable 實在是個難以定義的字,當然他表面上看起來意義很簡單啦! 就是聽的快樂,可是對我來說,能引起我興趣去注意的事物,某種意義上都是有趣的。有時候一些奇怪的歌,也是可以引起我的興趣的,可是可能就不適合「一直聽」了~ 像是我網誌旁邊的張雨生的「玫瑰的名字」,可能因為旋律吧!到後面非常「大聲」,所以真的不適合一直聽,但這首歌真是一首非常棒的作品啊!!
另一個例子是文音的「流浪記」,這首歌作詞作曲都很棒,文音也唱的非常的好,我愛死了!可是我不敢常常拿出來聽,因為聽的時候都很難過......
楊林蕭的專輯,真的很可惜,如果他們出的是單曲,評價一定不一樣,但是為了要出專輯湊十首歌,實在免不了的收了一些不是那麼好的詞曲。可惜啦!!
宥嘉的口音,我覺得可以當作「新人」來看吧! 等他下一張專輯,花更多時間,更多精神好好的「琢磨」的時候,不用背負太多歌迷的期待的時候,我相信他會發展出更寬廣的路。而不只是「重現星光大道上的光芒」這樣的短程目標。

上次那個30秒試聽其實是半戲謔的,因為聽不到整張專輯,所以只好亂聽一下。如果可以拿到整張專輯的話,「第一印象」也許可以寫,也許當作不一定出現的小花絮寫在每首歌前面就好囉!

文音的"流浪記"
和江明娟的"我想要有個家"
這兩首不只是詞曲好
最重要的是演唱者的深刻故事
所以歌聲中有著濃濃的情緒
除了星光時文音的那次演唱外
之後我也不太敢聽合輯裡的流浪記
會難過呀~
明娟比賽唱完時
利菁問起了她的故事...
當明娟泫然欲淚時
我也跟著哭得不能自己....
有些歌很感人 很好聽
但真的不適合一直聽...
那兩集我都沒看到現場。只看過影音。
我本來以為,星三或者超偶還會繼續有這樣的好歌出現,不過看了這麼久.....好像再也沒有了......
這樣也好,就正正常常的聽歌囉!太感動很傷身的。真的想到什麼事情的時候再來聽「流浪記」這樣的歌吧!不過可能要挑一個沒有別人干擾的獨自一人的晚上吧!

為何一般的專輯總是除了主打2 3首外
盡是些聽的很牽強 很難有深刻印象的歌?
若以經濟效益而言

好歌進了唱片公司,都是大牌先挑呀~ 即使大牌沒有要立刻發片,也是先把自己覺得好的曲子扣住。等到決定了,剩下的才丟出來給其他人用......這也是唱片圈的現實啦~ 新人都比較吃虧的。
作詞作曲的,也希望自己的歌給大牌唱,這樣以後收 KTV 版稅比較有賺頭。
每個唱片公司,收歌的能力也不一樣。常做某類型歌手的唱片公司,可能就沒有收另外類型的歌。
「十首」這個數字,真的是.....我覺得是「陋習」啦!我覺得發單曲會比發專輯好,可是台灣歌手幾乎都沒有在發單曲的。
我們都希望十首歌個個經典,可是這樣一來,可能有十個風格,唱片公司要做藝人造型也很麻煩,總不能穿皮衣馬靴去宣傳「我要我們在一起」吧~ 哈哈!
第一張專輯先站穩腳步,才有第二張第三張,第一張越成功,以後唱片公司就越願意加碼投資。

如果要把星光記憶拿掉,讓一個沒聽過星光的人來聽這幾張專輯,這樣子比的話~ 第一個死的是洋蔥,哈哈......!那張專輯的歌,沒有發揮到他的好聲音。
不過這樣子比實在也不公平,不管是看一般人還是看歌手,過去的成績都是很重要的呀!
我是沒看過您說得朝日電視台的節目啦~ 不過台灣一直有類似的節目呀!只是......嗯.....唱老歌的比較多。
公視的週末狂熱夜停掉真的很可惜,如果有電視台能找到適合的主持人,了解音樂圈又有節目主持能力的,這類型的節目創造高收視率是可以期待的!。這一年,尤其是近半年來冒出來很多歌唱有關的節目。我想隨著星光的停播,這些節目接手星光收視群,創造高收視的時間也不遠了!
中島美雪一直是我很喜歡的日本歌手呀!我想她可能還會再唱二十年!:D 也許到七十歲都還有冠軍單曲!!
